Just read the story about Vizio’s CEO William Wang on Inc.com. If you are looking for a big screen LCD TV, you must have heard or seen the big screen Vizio LCD TV at Costco or Sam’s club. Both stores sell Vizio’s 23″-68″ plasma or LCD screen TV, Vizio us a very well known TV brand name on the market now. Many of you probably already have one in your living room or bed room.
So who is William Wang? Why is Vizio so success and why is William Wang back in the TV business after plane crash in 2000? He has been in the computer monitor business for years. What make Mr. Wang so special and so success after plane crash? What made a good business man a stronger entrepreneur now?

By reading the story, I find myself his ex-customer. I am still using one of his computer monitor at home and waiting to by 42″ Vizio LCD TV. It will be on-sale at Costco on June 15, 2007. With $600,000 in his hand, he is making more than $700 million in sales now and to be $2 billion soon. I was surprised that he close his previous computer monitor business and focus on the new technology in Plasma and LCD TV.
So what I have learned from him. First of all, I remember reading a post saying that most success entrepreneur become success after they realize that their worst life time is gone. They ware in the lowest point of their life, but they concord their fear and keep their faith. They finally become even success than before. I am at my lowest point of my life. Not money wise, but in career. After quitting my chief architect job at my ex-company and went on 7 months travel to China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to enjoy life. I started my own online retail store. I am not making as good as I expect, but it’s well worthy and good to be my own boss. Now it’s time to realize my own potential and move forward to the next biggest thing.
Yes. I was not in his shoes and I don’t want to participate a plane crash. So nothing is much worst than Mr. Wang had. I should have more chance to success than Mr. Wang had few years ago. I just need to find what I can do the best and give it a life time shot. That’s right. As I am much younger than Mr. Wang is now, I have to plan out my business well and become the next success entrepreneur. Is a good small business man enough for you? Not for me.
